Apologies the posts have been a bit thin on the ground of late – it seems that the end of year madness has began and there’s not enough hours in the day. This week has been crazy busy with work at college – hundreds of end of year reports to write and home life has been flat out with my own kids involved in a myriad of activities. Yesterday was typical, the afternoon beginning sorting out the gunner Year 6 Touch Rugby team I coach who had two after school games, while also getting Finn to softball practice in between games. This was followed by grabbing some library books the kids needed, getting tea, and trying to be a ‘dancing mum’ (am failing at that one!) for Tahlia who has had a week of evening rehearsals for the local dance centre’s production on this weekend (The Grinch). In the meantime Aaron was ironically selling ‘Fiasco’ for 4 hours at a supermarket tasting.
So we crashed into bed last night, got up this morning and ten minutes before the rush to work and school, I remembered that it was ‘Fun day Friday” … “a day of fun for the school children to dress up”. All I can say is that our place was a fiasco and it wasn’t much fun! The weekend is looking equally hectic with a wine options quiz night, a wedding, a barbie, several Grinch performances, an eleven year old’s birthday party, a softball game and school concert rehearsal to juggle. But hey, at least it should be a fun filled fiasco!
